many things (such as this image[link]) inspire me, but to give you a precise description as to what exactly attracts me to one thing or another is tricky. like art, i know it when i see it, and what aspects or elements of a particular image or lines from a verse of poetry lead me down a path of thinking can change one day to the next. Typically my first reaction to something is my strongest and usually the most meaningful. a story does not require a lot of words to have meaning, writing haiku, soji, and several other forms of eastern poetry has allowed me to distil moments to more than just a captured event.

the image that inspired this verse does not belong to me so kindly do not use it or alter it in any way without requesting authorization from -almcdermid- to do so

I have collaborated with -almcdermid- many times in the past, and the results have always been excellent...this verse is here by his suggestion, and was posted as a comment on one of his photographs. visit his gallery for more of his amazing work

to be honest, i haven't tweaked this or altered this verse (to my knowledge) in any way since posting. could probably develop a renga
like unspoken conversation if i really thought about it

You could do an imaginary conversation between the two, in the form of a renga.

If you like, you can use the image for a preview.

i have Al's photographic work to thank for this one, an image such as this (like many others) is an inspiration for all sorts of things that bounce about within my brain.
